Turning what "if" into I "can"

I have stumbled over my fair share of personal failures in my life. Trying diet after diet with little or no sucess, or just giving up because I was bored or frustrated with the results so far.

This time is different...

I know I don't do everything right. But for once I have given myself permission to not be "perfect".

I have banned what "if" from my vocabulary.

No more what "if" I had exercised today?...
What "if" I had choosen yogurt over that bag of chips?..
What "if" I had just stuck with my diet for one more day?

I now say each morning I "CAN"...

I "CAN" do this for my health...
I "CAN" do this for my family..
I "CAN" do this for MYSELF.

Each day is another huge accomplishment for YOU!!

Keep telling yourself each do that you CAN do this!

Have a wonderful day everyone:)

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog and the encouraging words. After looking around your blog a bit it looks like you're off to an awesome start. Great job!

I loved your post about why you love Sundays. I also love the day we devote to the Lord - to be refreshed in hearing the word of God preached at church and spend time worshipping Him in the service. It's a great day to focus on the most important thing in life.

    Have a great week!

  2. I think this is a great outlook on life and dieting. I haven't banned anything from my diet, no extreme measures. I just think about today, and tomorrow is a new day. Banning foods will just make me crave them. For me, saying "not today, some other day" works!
